Wilmer Chesser, age 85, of Bardstown, KY passed away at 5:07 a.m., Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at the Landmark of Bardstown Nursing and Rehab Center.
A native of Washington County, he was born on December 18, 1937 to the late Thomas M. and Della Hood Chesser.
He was a member of the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy and a retired employee of the General Electric Company.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Purdom Chesser and two sisters, Artie Pearl Ervin and Gladys Benham.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Chesser; a son, Dan Chesser of Bardstown; a granddaughter, Monique Martindill of Radcliff; three great grandchildren, Devyn, Kayla and Alexandria Martindill; a sister-in-law, Edna Chesser of Bardstown and his caregivers, Louise Drury, Nancy Embry and Kathy Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 8th at the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Mike Willingham, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Keith Creech.
Burial will be in the Brush Grove Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kayla Martindill, Alexandria Martindill, Tim Benham, Greg Stevens, Rollie Stevens and Joe Stevens.
Serving as casket bearers will be Devyn Martindill, Ricky Chesser, Derrick Chesser, Dewayne Chesser, Tony Chesser and Roger Monroe.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Friday and after 8:00 Saturday morning all at the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy.
