Wilma Jewell (Sutton) Sims

Wilma Jewell Sutton Sims, age 87, of Willisburg, KY passed away at 5:28 p.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at her home.

A native of Washington County, she was born on February 7, 1935 to the late Joseph Marshall and Laura Alta Devine Sutton.

She was a homemaker, a 1953 graduate of Willisburg High School, a member of the Willisburg Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for several years and a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing Company.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, Donald Keith Sutton on July 18, 2020 and Harold Wathen Sutton on February 9, 2022.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-eight years, Eddie Sims; a brother, Larry Joe Sutton (Pam Kidwell) of Willisburg as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11th at the Willisburg Baptist Church with Rev. J.W. Hatfield, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Terry McIlvoy.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bethany Fallis, Judy Stine, Sue Ashcraft, Ketrina McIlvoy, Sara Lewis, Angie Curtsinger, Vicki Lewis and Charlie McIlvoy.

Serving as casket bearers will be Matthew Sutton, Justin Fallis, Tommy Yates, Timmy McIlvoy, Brent McIlvoy and Troy Chesser.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 Saturday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
