Willie Tapscott

William Edward “Willie” Tapscott, age 62, of Springfield, KY passed away at 5:50 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2026 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

He was born in Harrodsburg, KY on November 20, 1963 to the late William Jason and Sylvia Mae Coffman Tapscott.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Robin Kay Poynter on January 13, 2016.

Survivors include four sisters, Mary Lou Bewley (William Potter) of Bloomfield, Renee Decker (Tink) of Shepherdsville, Brenda Lee Ross (Christopher) of Danville and Rebecca Jacobs (Jerry) of Raywick; a brother, Robert J. Tapscott (Teresa) of Campbellsville; a special brother, Robert Nesbitt (Tammy) of Willisburg and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 22nd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Trevor Storey and Bro. Jerry Webb, officiating.

In keeping with his wish’s cremation will follow the funeral service.

Visitation will be from 1:30 until time of the service at 3:00.
