William Lloyd Turner, age 75, of Bardstown, formerly of, Springfield, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Hospice In-Patient Care Center in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, he was born on July 8, 1945 to the late Sherrill and Gladys Murphy Turner.
He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Lebanon, a graduate of 1963 Springfield High School, Campbellsville College, he received his law degree from Indiana University, a PhD from the University of Wisconsin and attended Southern Seminary. He was the former pastor of the Brush Grove Baptist Church and was a lawyer.
Preceding him in death was a brother, George Marshall Turner on September 12, 1950.
Survivors include his wife, June Smith Turner of Bardstown; two sons, Robert Marshall Turner of Bardstown and George William Turner (Emily) of Springfield; five daughters, Edna Jenelle Coulter (Ricky) of Bardstown, Carrie Cheryl Turner of Brooklyn, New York, Aimee Mae Smith (Gordon) of Lebanon Junction, Gladys Elizabeth Sicairos (Jaime) of Louisville and Lillian Cherish Gammon (Brad) of Chaplin and fifteen grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held Friday, December 11th on Cemetery Hill in Springfield with Rev. Clellan Hays, officiating.
There will be no visitation. A memorial services will be held later.
