William Donald “Bill” Morgan, age 83, of Willisburg, KY passed away at 6:07 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2025 at his home.
He was born in Lexington, KY on February 24, 1942 to the late Donald Orr and Dorothy Abrams Morgan.
Bill was a member of the Mt. Freedom Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was a retired employee of the General Telephone Company. Bill enjoyed volunteering time for the FFA.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Robert Morgan.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-one years, Barbara Robinson Morgan; two daughters, Diana Morgan of Willisburg and Christy Ball (William) of Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, Ashley Trent (Kendall), Hailey Russell (Tyler) and Chelsey Bowman (John Durr); nine great grandchildren; two brothers, David Morgan (Pam) and Ricky Morgan (Sharon) of Lexington; a sister-in-law, Sandy Morgan of Lexington and multiple nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 13th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John McDaniel, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Hilary Claypool.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Taryn Duckwall, MaKenna Russell, Paisley Bowman, Kainan Trent, Mason Durr, Anderson Russell and Cooper Russell.
Serving as casket bearers will be William Ball, Kendall Trent, Tyler Russell, John Durr, Karson Trent and Levi Russell.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Wednesday and after 9:00 Thursday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
