William Danny Carey

William Danny Carey, age 81, of Springfield, KY passed away at 5:38 p.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Village of Lebanon Nursing Home in Lebanon.

He was born on January 18, 1943 to the late Warren G. and Mary Louise Campbell Carey.

He was a member of the Springfield Christian Church, a 1961 graduate of Springfield High School, a retired employee of the General Electric Company where he worked for thirty-two years and served for six years in the National Guard. Danny enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting and skeet shooting.

Preceding him in death was his special friend of forty years, Betty Weakley Dean on January 12, 2023 and two brothers, Johnny Carey on January 21, 1942 and Tom B. Carey on June 24, 1995.

Survivors include a sister, George Ann Augustine of Louisville; two brothers, Ben Carey (Janice) of Springfield and Jimmy Carey of Lawrenceburg and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 29th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Warren Whitaker, officiating.

Burial will be in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.

Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Augustine, Blake Augustine, Alynd Carey, Troy Carey, Tommy Carey, Justin Carey, Jordan Carey and Tyler Stich.

Visitation will be after 11:30 Sunday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
