Walter Lee “Bud” Sagrecy, age 75, of Springfield, passed away at 1:38 p.m., Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
A native of Washington County, he was born on February 5, 1945 to the late Walter Everett and Lydia Grigsby Sagrecy.
He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church and a farmer.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Mary Frances Dean Sagrecy on October 1, 2011; three brothers, James Sagrecy on April 29, 1992, Charles Sagrecy on November 16, 2019 and William Ray Sagrecy on January 11, 1941 and three sisters, Mary Sue Hardin on February 19, 2007, Christine Lyvers on March 26, 2017 and Dorothy Lanham on April 15, 2019.
Survivors include, a daughter, Amy Thompson (Anthony) of Mackville; a son, James Sagrecy of Springfield; two granddaughters, Ashley Thompson and Amber Brockman; a great grandchild, Jaxon Brockman; a brother, David Sagrecy of Springfield and four sisters, Mabel Simpson and Margaret Cocanougher (Jimmie) of Springfield, Betty Hardin of Mackville and Evelyn Wilcher (Carl) of Mt. Washington.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John McDaniel, officiating.
Burial will be in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.
Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Hardin, Jerry Lanham, Dale Sagrecy, Scott Sagrecy, Larry Hardin and Eric Bartley.
Visitation will be after 10:00 Tuesday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
