Timothy Alexander Thompson

Timothy Alexander Thompson, age 57, of Jimtown Road, Springfield, KY passed away at 11:11 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2021 at the Hillcreek Rehab Center in Louisville.

He was born on June 13, 1964 in Lebanon to Alex and Mary Frances Groves Thompson.

He was a member of the Johnson Chapel AME Zion Church, he attended Washington County High School and was a former employee Hodgen Farms, Blair Farms, Bourbon Cooperage in Lebanon and L & B Manufacturing in Springfield.

Preceding him in death was a brother, Terry Lynn Thompson on July 28, 2018 and a niece, Evetta Rochelle Wright on April 5, 2015.

Survivors include his parents, Alex and Mary Frances Thompson of Springfield; fifteen siblings, Cecil Tichenor (Sara) of Lexington, Bobby Thompson (Wanda) of Perris, CA, Juanita Wright of Louisville, Regina Hickman (Jeffrey) of Bardstown, Betty Thompson of Bardstown, Danny Thompson (Velma) of Winchester, Donald Thompson, Steve Thompson and Allan Thompson all of Springfield, Melissa Ford (Ben) of Danville, Teresa Thompson and Tosha Thompson both of Springfield, Myrone Thompson of Lexington, George Thompson and Anthony Thompson both of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25th at the Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Roland Pruyear, pastor of the Johnson Chapel AME Zion Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tony Mitchell, Ty Smalley, Ron Thompson, Bud Blair and Robert Hodgen.

Serving as casket bearers will be Eric Weathers, Tim Burton, Shon Thompson, Nunnie Smalley, Tony Tongue and Tom Smalley.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 Friday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home and after 10:00 Saturday morning at the Springfield Baptist Church.
