Teresa “Tessie” (Hoppes) Edelen

Teresa “Tessie” Hoppes Edelen, age 66, of Springfield, KY passed away at 8:05 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2023 at her home.

She was born in Burwell, Nebraska on February 27, 1957 to Ralph E. and Doneta Erington Hoppes.

She was a member of the Springfield Christian Church, a 1975 graduate of Washington County High School and a former employee of Wilbert Plastic of Lebanon.

Preceding her in death was her father, Ralph Hoppes and two brothers, Terry Hoppes and Brian Hoppes.

On November 14, 1975 she was united in marriage to, Patrick L. Edelen.

Survivors include her husband, Pat Edelen; two sons, Jason Edelen (fiancée, Rachel Komeshak) of Knoxville, TN and Brandon Edelen of Hebron and two daughters, Kari Jo Booe (Rodney) of Greensburg and Kaly Madsen (Zach) of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren. Eli, Gigi, Lydia, Serenity, Grayson, Lizzie, Luke and Leah; her mother, Doneta Hoppes of Springfield; three brothers, Tom Hoppes and Rick Hoppes of Springfield and Mark Hoppes (Loida) of Georgetown and an adopted daughter and household companion, Sandy Johnson.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 11th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Fella Wilson, officiating.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
