Steven James Yaste, age 34, of Chaplin, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 in Spencer County, Kentucky.
He was born in Danville, Kentucky on July 30, 1986 to James Clifton and Kathy Sims Yaste.
He was a member of the Chaplin Baptist Church, an employee of Link-Belt of Lexington, a 2004 graduate of Washington County High School and a 2008 graduate of University of Kentucky School of Engineering.
Preceding him in death was his maternal grandfather, Harvey Randall Sims on August 19, 1980 and his paternal grandfather, Stanley Yaste on November 20, 2020.
Survivors include his wife, Whitney Akridge Yaste; two sons, Kayden Garrett Yaste and James Owen Yaste; two daughters, Clarie Marie Yaste and Evelynn Grace Yaste all at home; his parents, James Clifton and Kathy Yaste of Willisburg; two brothers, Jeremy Yaste (Amelia) of Willisburg and David Yaste (Nicole) of Stamping Ground; his maternal grandmother, Mary Lois Nickell and his paternal grandmother, Frances Yaste both of Springfield.
Funeral services will be private with Rev. Mike Thompson, officiating.
Burial will be on Cemetery Hill in Springfield.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Coslow, Steven Parrott, Justin Cambron, John David Yaste, Michael Benedict and Matthew Benedict.
There will be no public visitation.
