Starling Gwyn Gray

Starling Gwyn Gray, age 81, of Willisburg, KY passed away at 8:15 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Walker’s Trail in Danville.

A native of Clark County, KY he was born on March 18, 1944 to the late Lloyd and Mary Helen Blakeman Gray.

He grew up on a farm working tobacco and livestock, was a retired fireman with the Lexington Fire Department while at the same time he operated his own backhoe, and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include sons, Brian Gray (Melinda) of Willisburg and Andy Gray of Roundup, Montana; two grandchildren (Catherine and Mary); 5 Great-grandchildren and one brother, Tommy Gray (Nancy) of Clark County.  He was preceeded in death by a brother, Lloyd Gray (Patty) of Smithfield and 2 sisters, Patricia Gray and Faye Collins (Jack) of Lexington.

In keeping with his wishes cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
