Shirley Ann (Shields) Hardin

Shirley Ann Shields Hardin, age 86, of Springfield, KY passed away at 11:25 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2022 at the Sansbury Care Center at St. Catharine.

A native of Washington County, she was born on November 1, 1935 to the late Mitt Manson and Alma Sparrow Shields.

She was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church, the Order of The Eastern Star and was a retired employee of the Armour Food Company.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Dorchester Hardin on February 16, 2002; a sister, Lillian Ruth Burns and two brothers, William “Popper” Shields and Manson “Bud” Shields.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Murphy and her husband, Mark of Danville; two grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Murphy and Jonathon Murphy and his wife, Kim; two great grandchildren, Jacob Connor Murphy and John Luke Murphy and a very special friend, Kenneth Crain of Springfield

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Chesser, officiating.

Burial will be on Cemetery Hill in Springfield.

Visitation will be after 10:00 Wednesday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
