Sherman Ray Wall, age 86, of Louisville, passed away at 8:20 a.m., Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Wesley Manor Retirement Community in Louisville.
He was born in Washington County, KY on July 10, 1934 to the late Arthur Lee and Roxie Miller Wall.
Sherman was a member of the Trinity World Outreach Center, a retired employee of Johnson Control and a navy veteran of the Korean War.
Preceding him in death were four sisters, Vernie Crawley, Helen Hardin, Irene Wall and Margaret Noel and three brothers, Norris Wall, James Wall and Arthur Wall.
Survivors include his wife, Evelene Curtsinger Wall; seven daughters, Diane Chaney (Patrick) of Louisville, Kathy Elstone of Hodgenville, Angela Wall and Star Chandler (Allen) of Louisville, Hope Swisher of Taylorsville, Bonnie Sweasy (Rick Stewart) and Robin Garmon of Louisville; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and two sisters, Nora Roper of Louisville and Mary Carr of Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be private with Pastor Steve Turpin and Allen Chandler, officiating.
Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Washington County where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Swisher, Juan Estrada, Clint Allgeier, Joseph Wall, Brandon Wall, Noah Garmon, Troy Sweasy and Dillan Hamilton.
There will be no public visitation.
