Sarah Blanch Chesser Carey, age 80, of Springfield, KY passed away at 3:40 a.m., Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center.
A native of Washington County, she was born on May 23, 1941 to the late Hollie R. and Mary Gladys Carrier Chesser.
She was a member of The Church Of God at Willisburg and a retired employee of Modine Manufacturing Company of Harrodsburg.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Leon Carey on April 5, 2008; a sister, Virgie Haydon on May 16, 2015 and two brothers, Theodore “Skippy” Chesser on April 11, 2009 and Everett Chesser on September 6, 2016.
Survivors include four sisters, Ann Riley and Edith Lewis of Springfield, Alene Lottis (Jimmy) and Jean Washburn of Willisburg; a brother, Bobby Gene Chesser (Sue) of Willisburg and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Sheena Blake, officiating.
Burial will be on Cemetery Hill in Springfield.
Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Lewis, Jeremy Coulter, Richie Chesser, Dennis Chesser, Robert Blake and Joshua McCue.
Visitation will be from 4:30 until 8 Tuesday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
