Sam Stafford

Samuel Leroy “Sam” Stafford, age 72, of Springfield, KY passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at his home.

A native of Mooresville, North Carolina, he was born on January 9, 1950 to the late Lee Roy and Blanche Hager Stafford.

Sam was a well-known horse trainer of the American Saddlebred industry.

He held lifetime memberships in the American Saddlebred Association as well as the United Professional Horseman’s Association.

In keeping with his request cremation was chosen and his cremains spread in a favorite place in Wyoming.

Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
