Ruby Cheatham Weakley, age 95, of Cox’s Creek, KY formerly of Springfield, passed away at 3:45 p.m., Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the Green Meadows Health & Rehab Center in Mt. Washington.
A native of Washington County, she was born on November 7, 1930 to the late Herman Madison and Cladie M. Lewis Cheatham.
She was of the Baptist faith, a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing Company of Springfield and a retired employee of General Electric.
Preceding her in death was her step-mother, Ophia Beavers Cheatham; a son, Jerry Weakley; a granddaughter, Chasity Ann Weakley; her sister, Lucille Derringer and two brothers, Leroy and Leon Cheatham.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Weakley (Tina) and John Madison Weakley of Cox’s Creek and a grandson, Christopher Weakley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1st at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Tobe Yankey, officiating.
Cremation will follow the funeral services and her cremains will be inurned at Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Visitation will be from 12 until 2 Sunday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
