Roy Lee Boblitt

Roy Lee Boblitt, Sr., age 81, of Willisburg, KY passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at his home after an illness.

A native of Washington County, he was born on February 3, 1943 to the late Edison Cleo and Mary Hazel Washburn Boblitt.

He was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church, a retired employee of General Electric and a member of the Emulation Masonic Lodge # 688 F & AM at Sharpsville.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Betty Doris Lanham Boblitt on September 22, 2023; a granddaughter, Alivia Brooke Boblitt on May 28, 2011; two sisters, Corine Peters on September 22, 2013 and Linda Staten on August 21, 2018 and two brothers, Charles Boblitt on August 6, 2015 and Billy Donald “Duck” Boblitt on October 29, 2020.

Survivors include three sons, Roy Lee Boblitt, Jr. (Sherry) of Willisburg, Gary Boblitt (Lori) of Bloomfield and Johnny Boblitt of Willisburg; eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Harley of Springfield and a half-sister, Betty Boblitt of Hillview.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21st at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Dallas Lewis, officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Boblitt, Aiden Boblitt, Ashley Boblitt, Steven Peters, Michael Harley and Dereck Downs.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, Lee Ann Lewis, Christy Boblitt, Kayla Boblitt, Elizabeth Coffey, Jessie Severns, Krista Murphy, Alaina Boblitt, Jenna Settles and Eric Boblitt.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Wednesday and after 8:00 Thursday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
