Rosa McCormick Wright, age 79, of Lincoln Park Road, Springfield, passed away at 2:42 a.m., Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Boyle County, she was born on April 21, 1941 to the late Miller and Rose Christie McCormick.
She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a graduate of Bates High School in Danville, a homemaker and a former employee of the State of Kentucky Council on Aging.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles William Wright, Sr. on December 6, 2020 and a son, Charles William Wright, Jr. on November 9, 2020.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Wright of Springfield, a son, Michael J. Wright and his wife, Cornita of Bardstown; a daughter-in-law, Laura Wright of Springfield; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 2nd at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Culpepper Elliott and Rev. Kevin McGrath, officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lavan Christy, Ervin Smith and Elmer Ellis.
Serving as casket bearers will be Michael Wright, Jr., Jonathan Wright, Daniel Wilkerson, Jeff Gartin, Gary Christie and Raymond Hawkins, II.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 Monday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 Monday evening.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
