Ronnie Lee Yocum

Ronnie Lee Yocum, age 69, of Louisville, formerly of Springfield, passed away at 4:44 p.m., Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Signature East Health Care in Louisville.

A native of Washington County, he was born on July 6, 1951 to the late Thomas Edward and Mary Lucille Edelen Yocum.

He was a member of the Johnson Chapel AME Zion Church and worked in housing construction.

Preceding him in death was a brother, Thomas Eugene Yocum.

Survivors include a daughter, Roniqua Yocum and her mother, Joetta Thomas of Louisville; a son, Ronnie Lee Yocum, Jr. (Monet) of Dallas, Texas and his mother, Dianne Yocum of Louisville; two grandchildren, Dymond Yocum and Rainey Yocum; his mother, Mary Lucille Mitchell of Louisville; a brother, Harlin Yocum (Cathy) of Lexington and two sisters, Janice Jackson (Glenn) and Annette Yocum both of Lexington.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, May 27th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Puryear, officiating.

Burial will be in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Harlin Yocum, Greg Yocum, Felix Keene, William Edelen, Wayne Edelen, Shandon Yocum and Chervarin Yocum.

Serving as casket bearers will be Ronnie Lee Yocum, Jr., Thomas Yocum, Charles Yocum, Isaiah Yocum, Dee Yocum and Robert Edelen.

Visitation will be after 10:00 Thursday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
