Ronnie Dewayne Bobblett, age 72, of Bloomfield, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Washington County on August 31, 1948 to the late Wilmer Leon and Ethel Hill Bobblett.
He was a member of the Willisburg Church Of God Of Prophecy, retired employee of the General Electric Company, retired Mayor of Bloomfield, retired Fire Chief of Northeast Nelson Fire Department and was the regional coordinator for the Crusade For Children.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Beverly Young Bobblett on March 30, 2005.
Survivors include his son, Kevin Bobblett (Missy) of Willisburg; a grandson, Hunter Bobblett; a sister, Veda Spalding (Herman) of Bardstown; a brother, Charles Bobblett (Peggy) of Chaplin; two nieces, Adrienne Berry and her husband, Sammy and their children, Emma and Graham; Amanda Bright and her husband, Derrick and their children, Reagan and Bode; two nephews, Chris Bobblett and his wife, Jeanette and their children, Logan, Cole and Solomon; Josh Bobblett and his wife, Vanessa and their children, Caleb and Jacobi.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2nd at the Willisburg Church Of God Of Prophecy with Rev. Keith Creech, the church pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Bobblett, Josh Bobblett, Adrienne Berry, Amanda Bright, Dee Meeks, Matt Baenziger, Terry Scrogham and Tim Scroghan.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Friday at the church.
