Ronald Dean Abner, age 77, of Little Davis Lane, Springfield, KY, passed away at 9:04 a.m., Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
A native of Hazard, Kentucky he was born on January 15, 1948 to the late Mason and Bertha Morris Abner.
He was a retired carpenter and brick mason, he was a member of the Jehovah Witness Congregation and attended the River of Life Church.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Imogene Taylor Abner on July 23, 2018; a sister, Magdalene Abner Green and a brother, Davis Gene Abner.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Parrott of Springfield and Alberta Abner of Morristown, TN; a son, Thomas Abner of Springfield; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a half-sister, Kenedia Watson of Tennessee and a half-brother, Odean Watson (Robin) of Bowling Green.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 29th at the Abner Family Cemetery with Rev. Aaron Sherrell, officiating.
Burial will be in the Abner Family Cemetery on Little Davis Lane in Washington County.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
