Romer Jules Verne Cool

Romer Jules Verne Cool, age 91, of Jimtown Road, Springfield, KY passed away at 4:00 a.m., Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville.

He was born in Pikeville, KY on February 23, 1932 to the late John Robert and Ilma Johnson Cool.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a graduate of Feds Creek High School in Pike County and a graduate of Pikeville College. Mr. Cool was a retired school teacher.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Geneva Casey Cool on July 19, 1999; a sister, Romah Sue Fern Hughes and a brother, Ronald Gifford Cool.

Survivors include a daughter, Abby Cool of Springfield and a son, Kristopher Jules Cool of Pike County.

Burial will be on Thursday, January 11th at the Annie E. Young Cemetery in Pikeville.
