Richard Lynn “Dickie” Davis

Richard Lynn “Dickie” Davis, age 79, of Mackville, Kentucky, passed away at 3:04 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at his home.

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 11, 1944 to the late Lennie Bishop and Mildred Inez Johnson Davis. 

He was a member of Burgin Baptist Church, a graduate of Burgin High School and a retired 42 year employee of Corning Glass.

He was preceded in death by his brother Gerald Bishop Davis, Sr. on June 30, 1997.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Russell Davis; two sons Lynn Davis (Natasha) of Springfield and Kevin Davis (Jaime) of Taylorsville; three grandchildren, Ric Davis (Chanda), Julia Richardson (Michael) and Anna Clay Davis; two great grandchildren, Jenelle Davis and Richard Lynn “Richie” Davis, IV and a brother Donald “Donnie” Davis (Georgina) of Harrodsburg.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, June 15 at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. J. W. Hatfield officiating.

Burial will be in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 Friday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
