Rev. Earl Hazel

Rev. Earl Hazel, age 85, of Chaplin, KY passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at his home.

A native of Union County, Kentucky, he was born on August 29, 1937 to the late Calep and Dora Debose Hazel.

He was a member of The Church of God in Chaplin where he served as the pastor. He also served as pastor of several churches in Kentucky and served  in the National Guard.

Preceding him in death were six sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Marianna Steward Hazel; a son, Randell Hazel and his wife, Sherry of Willisburg and two grandchildren, Caleb and Noah Hazel.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 21st at The Church of God in Chaplin with Rev. Donald Estep, officiating.

Burial will be in the High View Cemetery at Chaplin.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Sunday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home and after 11:00 a.m., Monday at the church.

Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
