Pearl Mattingly Dean, age 87, of Kelly Shop Lane, Springfield, KY passed away at 8:55 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the Springfield Nursing and Rehab Center.
A native of Washington County, she was born on November 15, 1934 to the late Hugh C. and Evaie May Lewis Mattingly.
She was a member of the Thompsonville Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Walton Dean on October 14, 1991; a son, Walton Douglas Dean on November 12, 2021; a grandson, Justin Dean on May 1, 2016; four sisters, Teresa Darland, Delma Curtsinger, Eunice Devine and Frances Baker and six brothers, Hughie Walter, Isaac Ruel, George Arthur, Eugene, James and Tom Mattingly.
Survivors include four daughters, Bonnie Smith (Ronnie), Janice Curtsinger (Glenn), Sandra Gribbins (Kenny) all of Springfield and Deborah Masters (Danny) of Harrodsburg; three sons, Ronnie Dean (Peggy) and Gary Dean (Sherry) of Springfield and David “Bo” Dean (Vicky) of Loretto; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 3rd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John McDaniel, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Dean, Derrick Gribbins, Dylan Gribbins, Logan Dean, Nathan Dean and Kenzie Gribbins.
Visitation will be after 10:00 Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
