Patricia Ann “Pat” (Shewmaker) Hendricks

Patricia Ann “Pat” Shewmaker Hendricks, age 78, of Springfield, KY passed away at 9:13 a.m., Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

She was born in Lebanon, Kentucky on January 29, 1947 to the late Ennis Butler and Daphne R. Tatum Shewmaker.

Pat was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church, a 1965 graduate of Springfield High School, a graduate of Georgetown College and received her master’s degree from the University of Louisville. She was a retired school teacher having taught most of career at the Hardin County School System.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Don Hendricks on February 8, 2006 and three sisters, Vivian Martin on December 15, 2013, Brenda Bates on March 1, 2019 and Martha Joyce Trowbridge on July 27, 2023.

Survivors include a daughter, Natalie Cannon (Chris) of Eminence; a son, Ben Hendricks (Michelle) of Mt. Washington and two grandsons, Silas and Finn Cannon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 27th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Sherrell, officiating.

Burial will be in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 Wednesday and after 8:00 Thursday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
