Pat Mudd Obituary

Paul Patrick (Pat) Mudd, age 67, of Lebanon, KY passed away at his residence with his loving wife and family by his side on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Pat was born on March 30, 1953 in Lebanon to Paul Kline and Mary Wheatley Mudd.

Pat was a 1971 graduate of Washington County High School.

As a young man, Pat enjoyed drag racing and working on “muscle cars” with his friends. After graduation from high school Pat worked as a backhoe operator for many years until he obtained his dream of owning his own farm.

 Pat was known by all that knew him as a hard worker, skilled craftsman, outstanding and successful farmer. After 30 years of farming and living his dream on his farm, he proudly said: “I loved working the land, I did what I wanted to do”.

Pat was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Pat was preceded in death by his father, Paul K. Mudd and brother, Robert Mudd.

Survivors include his loving wife and partner of 35 years Georgia, daughter Kathy Jo (Cary) Howard  of Lexington, KY. Grandchildren, Drew Howard and Joey Howard of Lexington and his mother, Mary Wheatley Mudd of Springfield. Eight sisters, Diane Osborne of Bardstown, Paula Mudd, Jane (Mark) Barnett, Linda (J.C.) Young, Marilyn (Terry) Bland, Theresa Boblitt, Joanne (John) Spaulding and Karen (Tommy) Begley all of Springfield. Five brothers, John Mudd, Fred Mudd, Joe (Sue) Mudd, Rodney (Lynn) Mudd and Troy (Denise) Mudd all of Springfield. Also surviving is a special nephew Joey Young of Springfield.

Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, January 25th from 5-8 at Carey & Son Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19 funeral services will be private with burial Tuesday, January 26th, 2021 at St. Rose Cemetery.

Burial will be in the St. Rose Cemetery.

Casket bearers: Joey Young, Kevin Mudd, Dave Hughes, Mike Hughes, Pat Kelly and J.C. Young.

Honorary pallbearers: Amelia Farmer, Miranda Bradshaw, Madison Johnson, Kevin Spalding, Matthew Spalding, Brad Hood, Brad Hood and Matthew Hood.

Loved by many, missed by all.
