Ola (Keeling) Lawson

Ola Keeling Lawson, age 99, of Springfield, Kentucky passed away Friday, September 6, 2024 at her home.

She was born in Nelson County, KY on September 11, 1924 to the late Howard and Janie Shouse Keeling.

She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Corbett Lawson on December 27, 1984 and three brothers, Reco, J.W. and Kenneth Keeling.

She is survived by a son, Larry Lawson (Brenda) of Louisville; a daughter, Sue Sleboda (Bruce) of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren, Melissa Williams and Deanna Ford (Jeremy) of Louisville; two great grandchildren, Natalie Williams and Ethan Ford and a great great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 10th at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Tobe Yankey, the church pastor, officiating.

Her cremains will be buried at the Deep Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 12 Noon Tuesday at the New Hope Baptist Church.
