Mildred Hardin Pinkston, age 83, of Louisville, formerly of Springfield, KY passed away at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Wesley Manor Retirement Community in Louisville.
A native of Washington County, she was born on December 4, 1938 to the late James W. “J.W.” and Lucy Alice Hardin.
She was a member of the West Broadway Baptist Church, a graduate of Springfield High School and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death was her husband of fifty-one years, Walter Hopper Pinkston on October 7, 2016.
Survivors include two sons, Shawn Pinkston and Todd Pinkston of Louisville; a daughter, Natalie Gilbert of Hollywood, CA; a grandson, Anthony Pinkston (Maddie); two great grandchildren, Ayden Pinkston and Braylon Pinkston and a brother, James Hardin (Faye) of Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 13th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Sherrell, pastor of the Springfield Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Visitation will be from 4-8 Sunday at the Carey and Son Funeral Home.
