Michael Allen Colvin, Sr.

Michael Allen Colvin, Sr., age 77, of Springfield, KY passed away at 9:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2023 at his home after an illness.

A native of Washington County, he was born on September 25, 1946 to the late Justus Reddick “J.R.” and Wilma Doris Butler Colvin.

He was a retired employee of the General Electric Company of Louisville.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, Daniel Ray Colvin on October 29, 1945, Archie Thomas Colvin on October 20, 1982 and J.R. Colvin, Jr. on February 6, 2017 and two sisters, Martha Doris Satterly on March 5, 2010 and Judy Lee Coulter on April 11, 2019.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Coulter Colvin; a son, Mike Colvin, Jr. (Julie); four daughters, Toni Caudill (Tim), Tracy Abell (Leonard), Bridgette Bowman (Jonathan) and Sarah Fields (Trevor) all of Springfield; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one sister, Betty Jo Darland of Georgetown, Texas.

In keeping with his wishes cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 24th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Sherrell, officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 Tuesday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
