Melvin Curtsinger, age 81, of Bloomfield Road, Springfield, KY passed away at 11:05 a.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
A native of Washington County, he was born on June 29, 1940 to the late Clell and Lena Mae Settles Curtsinger.
He was a member of the Redemption Point Church of God and a former employee of the Springfield Redryer Company.
Preceding him in death was a grandson, Nathaniel Thomas Wilson on September 26, 2018; three sisters, Mary Ruth Curtsinger on September 16, 1934, Iva Jewell Walls on September 19, 2016 and Edith Votaw on October 24, 2016 and two brothers, Rollin Curtsinger on September 14, 1989 and Davis Curtsinger on November 17, 2000.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Grigsby Curtsinger; a daughter Kimberly Crawford (Louis); two sons, Ricky Curtsinger and Todd Curtsinger all of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Jeremy, Brandon, Amber, Steven, Linda and Toni Curtsinger; four great grandchildren and a sister, Evelene Wall of Louisville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 4th at the Redemption Point Church Of God with Rev. Jeremy Thompson, the church pastor, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Billy Bryant and Rev. Bill Adams.
Burial will be in the Redemption Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Monday and after 10:00 Tuesday morning at the Redemption Point Church of God, 2527 Highway 555, Springfield, KY.
