Mary Ruth (Phipps) Wells

Mary Ruth Phipps Wells, age 80, of Kelly Shop Road, Springfield, KY passed away at 8:53 a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Village of Lebanon Nursing Home.

She was born on March 31, 1944 in Rector, Arkansas to the late Leroy and Mary Elizabeth Parks Phipps.

She attended Valley Station High School in Louisville, was a retired employee of Suburban Hospital in Louisville and a homemaker. Mary enjoyed fishing and cooking for her family.

Preceding her in death was her husband, William Lee Wells, Sr. on June 18, 2021 and her sister, Sharon Faye Tidrow on March 14, 2024.

Surviving are her two sons, William Lee Wells, Jr. (Tana) of Springfield and Donald Ray Wells (Toni) of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 16th at the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg with Rev. Keith Creech, officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Wells, Billy Wells, Donnie Wells, Kyle Garrison, David Croft, and Tom Pendleton.

There will be no visitation.
