Mary Elizabeth Burnette Riley, age 90, of Springfield, KY passed away at 1:11 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2025 at her home.
A native of Washington County, she was born on January 15, 1935 to the late Charles William and Mary Alice Thompson Burnette.
She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a graduate of Rosenwald High School in Lebanon, an employee of the former Cecconi’s Restaurant and Dog-N-Suds Restaurant and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death was her husband, William Lee Riley, Sr. on May 24, 1975; a son, William Lee Riley, Jr. on June 8, 2022 and a granddaughter, Erin Marie Riley on April 10, 2018.
Survivors include three daughters, Elaine Riley of Springfield, Donna Marie Livers (Kevin Allen) of Bardstown and Lisa Michelle Riley of Johnson City, TN; three sons, Steven Riley (Amonda) of Bardstown, Robbie Riley of Springfield and Thomas Eugene Riley of Sandy Hook; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a sister, Charlotte Cortez (Moses) of Louisville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 21st at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Pier Giorgio Dengler, O.P., officiating.
Burial will be in the Lebanon National Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 9:00 Monday morning until time of the service at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
