Mary Alene Chesser Lottis, age 85, of Willisburg, KY passed away at 5:25 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center.
A native of Washington County, she was born on August 23, 1938 to the late Hollie R. and Mary Gladys Carrier Chesser.
She was a member of The Church of God, a homemaker and a former employee of the Springfield Redrying Company.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Virgie Haydon on May 16, 2015 and Sarah Blanch Carey on December 25, 2021 and two brothers, Theodore “Skippy” Chesser on April 11, 2009 and Everett Chesser on September 6, 2016.
Survivors include her husband, James Lottis; a brother, Bobby Gene Chesser (Sue) of Willisburg and three sisters, Edith Rose Lewis and Ann Riley of Springfield and Jean “Sissy” Washburn of Willisburg. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 28th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Sheena Blake, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 Saturday and after 9:00 Sunday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
