Mary Rosamond Clark Jones, age 86, of Springfield, KY, passed away at 8:36 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
She was born in Washington County on June 17, 1937, to the late Jesse “Jack” and Ina Rowe Clark. She attended the New Hope Baptist Church, a retired program manager for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, after retirement she worked as a bookkeeper for the former McRay Cattle Co. and a former employee of Kroger.
Preceding her death was a granddaughter, Rosamond Alice Goff; a grandson, Owen Matthew Robinson; four brothers, Jack Allen, Tony, Bill and Danny Clark.
Survivors include her husband, Cornelius Jones; her children Mildred “Robbie” Jones (Walt) Kettering, Ohio, Joseph Robinson (Victoria) of Sidney, Ohio, Debra Hardin (Terry) and Sheila Knight (Harold) both of Bardstown and William Jones (Leonna) of Springfield; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren including Jesse Cornelius Boone who they raised; five great great grandchildren; and sisters, Donna Rokette of Vandalia, Ohio, Bonnie Crawford of Dayton, Ohio, Margaret Hahn, Katherine Smith and Emily Wilson all of Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 1st at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Tobe Yankey, officiating.
Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11:30 Friday morning at the New Hope Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
