Marvin Leon Coulter

Marvin Leon Coulter, age 77, of the Texas Community of Washington County, KY passed away at 1:05 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the Norton Women’s & Children Hospital in Louisville.   

A native of Washington County, he was born on July 9, 1946 to the late Harold G. and Irma Kays Coulter.

He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and a farmer.

Preceding him in death was his son, Thomas Leon “Tommy” Coulter on December 12, 2018 and two brothers, David Harold Coulter on November 30, 2018 and Billy Frank Coulter, Sr. on April 29, 2023.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Rose Hays Coulter; a daughter, Gwen Coulter; daughter-in-law, Julie Curtsinger Coulter of Springfield; three grandchildren, Derek Coulter (Lauran), Chelsea Coulter and Michelle Gribbins-Yaste (Jerry); four great grandchildren, Walker Gribbins, Kyler Gribbins, Allyson Yaste and Sylvie Coulter; a sister, Emma Jean Hellard (Rickie) of Willisburg and three brothers, Darrol Coulter (Laura) of Willisburg, Bruce Coulter (Sharon) of Mt. Eden and Johnny Coulter (Darlene) of Lawrenceburg.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. John Russell, officiating.

Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Emma Jean Hellard, Darrol Coulter, Bruce Coulter, Johnny Coulter, Kerri Burchett, Rhonda Cambron, Mike Coulter and Steve Hardin.

Serving as casket bearers will be Derek Coulter, Jerry Pinkston, Billy Frank Coulter, Jr., Kim McCubbins, Jimmy Arnold and Warren Purdom.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Friday and after 8:00 Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
