Martha Carol Yocum

Martha Carol Yocum, age 49, of Shelbyville, KY passed away at 9:22 a.m., Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.

She was born in Shelby County on October 9, 1972 to Richard Kenneth and Marie Bernadette Weathers Yocum.

She was of the Catholic faith and was preceded in death by her father, Richard Kenneth Yocum on April 16, 2003 and her brother, Richard Jerome Yocum on October 27, 2019.

Survivors include two daughters, Ashleigh Nicole Lee and Maya Rhiana Lee both of Shelbyville; her mother, Marie Bernadette Yocum of Louisville; two sisters, Sheryl Marshall of Shelbyville and Volinda Diane Case (Bill) of Louisville; a nephew, Matthew Case and five nieces, Pamela Case, Sherrell Davis, Courtney Silva, Danielle Marshall and Alyssa Love.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 Thursday, January 20th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Culpepper Elliott, officiating.

Cremation will follow the funeral services and her cremains will be buried in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5:00 Thursday evening at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
