Martha Louella Trigg, age 69, of Springfield, KY, passed away at 5:15 a.m., Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
A native of Washington County, she was born on July 1, 1951 to the late James Winfred Trigg and Florence Anna Rose Coleman.
She was a member of the Johnson Chapel AME Zion Church, a 1971 graduate of Washington County High School, a homemaker and a former employee of Springfield Redryer, Union Underwear of Frankfort and Woodbridge of Bardstown.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, James Trigg and Alfonzo Coleman.
Survivors include, three daughters, Rhonda Trigg, Sonya Trigg and Shawna Trigg all of Springfield; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Cowherd of Lebanon, Mary Florence Baker of Sandusky, Ohio and Frances Dean of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Joseph Pat Trigg (Margaret) and Francis Rudolph Trigg (Mona) of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Coleman of Lexington; two special friends, Delores Turner of Springfield and Diane Ellery of Lexington and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 12th on Cemetery Hill in Springfield with Rev. Roland Pruyear, pastor of the Johnson Chapel AME Zion Church, officiating.
A walk-thru visitation will be held from 11:30 until 12:30 Tuesday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
