Martha Offutt Obituary

Martha Jane Tingle Offutt, age 97, of Lebanon Road, Springfield, passed away at 6:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at her home.

A native of Washington County, she was born on March 6, 1924 to the late Herbert and Minnie Harlow Tingle.

She was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Preceding her in death was her husband, R.C. Offutt on February 18, 2003; a grandson, Bobby Wayne Griffey, Jr. on November 30, 2001; a sister, Ruby Noel on April 22, 2018 and three brothers, Randall Tingle on February 8, 1994, John R. Tingle on January 30, 2002 and William H. “Billy” Tingle on January 17, 2013.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Jane Griffey (Bobby) of Springfield; a grandson, Chad Griffey; a great grandchild, Morgan Griffey and a brother, Leroy Tingle of Fisherville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private with Rev. Justin Compton, officiating.

Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation.
