Martha Ann (Chesser) Hood

Martha Ann Chesser Hood, age 78, of Big Clifty, KY, formerly of Willisburg passed away at 4:02 a.m., on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the home of her daughter.

A native of Washington County, she was born on June 21, 1946 to the late Walter and Esper Chesser.

She was a member of the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy and a retired employee of Kroger of Lebanon.

Preceding her in death were six brothers, Sammy, Truman, Virgil, J.B., Raymond and Marshall Chesser and ten sisters, Lillian Byrd, Louise Milburn, Robbie Stone, Sudie Baker, Artie Thompson, Mattie Holt, Reva Hust, Wanda Mae Pritchard, Merine Lewis and Betty Curtsinger.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Ward (Mike) of Big Clifty and Rhonda Hood of Georgetown; a son, Randy Hood of Springfield; a grandson, Devin Ward (Ashley) of Clarkson; four great grandchildren, Kimber, Kynzlee, Kambrie and Kyptin Ward and a special friend, Larry Mattingly of Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 23rd at the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Keith Creech and Rev. Mike Willingham, officiating.

Burial will be in the Brush Grove Cemetery at Willisburg.

Visitation will be at the Willisburg Church of God of Prophecy on Sunday from 4 until 8 and after 8:00 Monday morning.
