Mabel Inman Cocanougher, age 95, of Elizabethtown, KY formerly of the Texas Community of Washington County, passed away at 2:35 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Tender Touch Assisted Living in Elizabethtown.
A native of Washington County, she was born on January 11, 1927 to the late Everett J. and Ira Harmon Inman. Mabel grew up in the Texas Community where she spent most of her life. During her younger years Mabel worked alongside her parents at the Inman Store in the East Texas Community which they owned and operated for many years.
She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and a retired cafeteria worker for the Washington County School System.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Harold Keith “Skeets” Cocanougher on January 22, 1979; two sons, Tony Allen Cocanougher on February 22, 1950 and Roger Cocanougher on December 23, 1986 and her brother, Marshall Inman on May 3, 1994.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Chuck Warren of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Bryan Cocanougher (Barbie) of Springfield, Crystal Brady (Jordan) of Lebanon, Charles Allen Warren, II of Nolin Lake, Kelly Payton (Casey) of Hodgenville and Steven Warren (Jessica) of Elizabethtown; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Callie Inman and Joanne Cocanougher and special nephews and nieces, Stewart, Norman, Bonnie, Janice and Karen.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21st at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Tobe Yankey, officiating.
Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Cocanougher, Charles Allen Warren, Kelly Payton, Casey Payton, Steven Warren and Jordan Brady.

Visitation will be after 10:00 Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
