Lonnie Noel

William Lonnie Noel, age 79, of Bloomfield Road, Springfield, KY passed away at 4:30 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2022 at Baptist Health in Elizabethtown.

A native of Washington County, he was born on October 25, 1942 to the late Estill and Margaret Rachel Walls Noel.

He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church and a retired school bus driver for the Washington County School System where he worked for thirty-three years.

Preceding him in death were two infant sons, Lonnie Dale Noel on March 3, 1965 and Jeffrey Lynn Noel on February 25, 1966; a step grandson, Samuel Clarkson on July 18, 2020; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Noel on July 24, 2020; a sister, Nancy Hooper on October 4, 2018 and a brother, Carl B. Noel on April 18, 2019.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Wohner Noel; a son, Estill Todd Noel (Jennie) of Springfield; a daughter, Rachel Dean (Christopher) of Bardstown; a granddaughter, Tabitha Burns (William); three step-grandsons, Christopher, Brian and Cody Powers; a great grandchild, Stetson Cooper Burns; a sister, Barbara Stine (Danny) of Willisburg and a brother, Tommy Noel (Julie) of Springfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 8th at the Temple Baptist Church with Rev. John McDaniel, officiating.

Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Dean, William Burns, Tammy Fulkerson, Cody Powers, Brian Powers and James Rogers.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Sunday at the Temple Baptist Church.
