Linda Diane (Kirsch) Oaks

Linda Diane Kirsch Oaks, age 74, of Bardstown, KY formerly of Washington County, passed away at 8:28 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Bluegrass Assisted Living in Bardstown.

She was born in Lebanon, Kentucky on July 17, 1949.

She was a graduate of Maryhurst in Louisville. For many years Linda made her home in Louisville and worked until her retirement as a house mother at the Kentucky School For the Blind.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Cloyd T. Oaks on February 11, 2021; a granddaughter, Brianna Lynn “Bri” Terry on December 31, 2019; her mother, Bernadine Kirsch Baker on August 13, 1992 and two brothers, Dennis M. Hill on March 30, 1997 and William H. Hill on April 5, 1993.

Survivors include her son, James L. Terry, Jr. of Willisburg; step-son, Tommy Oaks of Louisville; granddaughter, Julia Ann Terry; four step-grandchildren, James, Joshua and Jessica Oaks and Jennifer Markwell (Tim); great granddaughter, Ezlynn Terry; four step-great grandchildren, Karsten, Luke, Bella and Cash; a sister, Gail Goode of Bardstown and a brother, David L. Hill (Marilyn) of Bardstown.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 23rd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. J.W. Hatfield, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Tina Staniford.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:30 until time of the service.
