Linda Joyce (Chesser) Montgomery

Linda Joyce Chesser Montgomery, age 79, of Willisburg passed away at 1:07 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at her home after an illness.

She was born in Jefferson County, Kentucky on February 21, 1946 to the late Acy and Dora Ellen Hood Chesser.

She was a member of the Willisburg Church of God and a former employee of Texas Instruments.

She was preceded in death by her son, Hugh Allen Montgomery on December 3, 2017; a grandson, James Derrick Nall on July 10, 2019 and a nephew, Erik Lynn Chesser on November 19, 2022.

Survivors include her husband, John S. Montgomery; a daughter, Donna Noel and her husband, Chris of Mackville; a daughter-in-law, Karen Montgomery of Willisburg; five grandchildren, Ashley Montgomery, Casey Waldridge, Kaylee Mattingly, Tanner Montgomery and Wyatt Noel; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Ricky Chesser (Patsy) and a sister, Peggy Bobblett (Charles) both of Chaplin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 29th at the Willisburg Church of God with Rev. Mark Speakman officiating.  He will be assisted by Rev. Terry Burkhead.

Burial will be in the High View Cemetery at Chaplin.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Casey Waldridge, Ashley Montgomery, Tanner Montgomery and Kaylee Mattingly.

Serving as casket bearers will be Mike Montgomery, Mark Cox, Wyatt Noel, Trent Miles, Kevin Montgomery and Josh Bobblett.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 on Friday at the Willisburg Church of God and after 8 on Saturday morning at the church.
