Leslie Lanham Rakes

Leslie Lanham Rakes, age 60, of Crain Lane, Springfield, KY passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at her residence.

She was born on June 23, 1962 in Lebanon to the late Sammy Lee an Elaine Crouch Lanham.

Survivors include her husband, David Rakes; a son, David Rakes, II (Ashley); two daughters, Fran Rakes and Rachel Teater (Roland) all of Springfield; ten grandchildren; a brother, Jimmie Lee Lanham of Perryville and five sisters, Theresa Bynog (Joseph), Mary Jo Murphy, Lelica Milburn and Thelma Lanham all of Springfield and Lela Barnett (Scotty) of Somerset.  Also, a special sister Cindy Goode (Buck) of Perryville.

In keeping with her wishes cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3rd at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John McDaniel, officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 until 1 Saturday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
