Leroy Tingle

Leroy Tingle, age 95, of Fisherville, KY formerly of Willisburg, passed away at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.

A native of Washington County, he was born on June 9, 1927 to the late Herbert Lee and Minnie Harlow Tingle.

He was a member of the Shively Christian Church, an army veteran of World War II and a retired employee of Dupont.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Imogene Keeling Tingle on May 25, 2012; two sisters, Ruby Noel on April 22, 2018 and Martha Offutt on May 11, 2021 and three brothers, Randall Tingle on February 8, 1994, John R. Tingle on January 30, 2002 and William H. “Billy” Tingle on January 17, 2013.

Survivors include two sons, Steve Tingle and his wife, Marlene of Greenville, IN and Gregg Tingle and his wife, Sandy of Fisherville; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 14th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. David Buckham, officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be David Tingle.

Serving as casket bearers will be Josh Tingle, Tom Kontomerkos, Isaac Buckham, Micah Buckham, Zack Book, Mike Tingle and Jeff Tingle.

Visitation will be after 10:00 Tuesday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
