Lee B. Stava, age 79, of Willisburg, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on March 8, 1945 to the late Leo L. and Clara Abernathy Stava.
He was a member of the St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Frankfort, an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War; a retired maintenance employee of the University of Kentucky where he was employed for thirty-five years. After retirement he was employed by Sam’s Club for five years.
Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Elizabeth Grace Lambert-Stava; a son, Michael William Stava (Julie) of Covington; five grandchildren and a sister, Gale Loding of Wauconda, Illinois.
In keeping with his wishes cremation was chosen.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Frankfort with Rev. Dr. Mark Royster officiating.
