Lavern Steinmetz Obituary

Lavern Louise Steinmetz, age 77, of Keene Lane, Springfield, KY passed away at 2:31 a.m., Friday, May 21, 2021 at the University of Louisville, Kentucky.

A native of Calloway County, Kentucky she was born on February 1, 1944 to the late Frank Samuel and Gertie Bell Pratt Muskgrow.

She was a member of the Johnson Chapel AME Zion Church and worked in private nursing care.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherita Perry of Louisville and Marquitta Smalley (Joe) of Springfield; three sons, Craig L. Perry of Covington, James Leon Curtis, Jr. of Evansville, IN and Johnny Laterrell Muskgrow of Brazil; fourteen grandchildren and a number of great and great great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 Friday, May 28th at 4205 Cane Run Road, Louisville, KY 40216 with Rev. Roland Puryear, officiating.

Visitation will be after 11:00 Friday morning at the same location.
