Kelly Coulter

Wayne Kelly Coulter, age 69, of Springfield, KY passed away at 3:50 p.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Baptist Health in Louisville.

He was born in Lebanon, KY on December 9, 1953 to the late John Marvin and Mildred Lanham Coulter.

He was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church, a 1972 graduate of Washington County High School and was a self-employed carpenter.

Preceding him in death was an infant sister, Virginia Ann Coulter on January 4, 1948 and four brothers, Vernon Coulter on April 18, 2020, Marvin Coulter, Jr. on September 3, 2021, Harold Coulter on November 19, 2022 and Bruce Coulter on November 25, 2022.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Pinkston Coulter; two daughters, Stacy Lugo (Tavo) and Kathy Maloney (Shawn) of Louisville; a son, John Coulter (Betty Jo) of Springfield; four grandchildren, Danielle Hope Nicole Coulter, Joseph John Allen Coulter, Evan James Maloney and Kelsey Victoria Maloney; two great grandchildren, Sasha Harris and Elizah Harris; a brother, Russell Coulter (Brenda) of Chaplin and three sisters, Brenda Stevens (Al) of Springfield, Rita Stirn of Louisville and Darlene Ferguson (Ben) of Russellville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 12th at the Temple Baptist Church with Rev. John McDaniel, the church pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Coulter, Stan Coulter, Tavo Lugo, Philip Goff, Robert Marple and James Alan Carpenter.

Visitation will be at the Temple Baptist Church from 4 until 8 Monday and after 8:00 Tuesday morning until time of the funeral at 11:00.
