Katen Elizabeth Atwell

Katen Elizabeth Atwell, age 15, of Elizabethtown, KY formerly of Willisburg, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026 in Elizabethtown.

She was born on July 9, 2010 in Bardstown, KY to Cory Scott and Felicia Carney Atwell.

She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church at Willisburg and a student in Hardin County.

Preceding her in death was her paternal grandfather, Ivan “Toby” Atwell and her paternal step grandfather, Donald O’Rear.

Survivors include her parents, Cory and Felicia Atwell; a brother, Austin Elliott and two sisters, Marlie Atwell all of Elizabethtown and Leslie Elliott (Kyle Milburn) of Lebanon; her maternal grandparents, Patricia Dick of Lebanon and David Leslie Carney and her paternal grandmother, Elizabeth O’Rear both of Elizabethtown.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, January 17th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Bart Price, minister of the Antioch Christian Church, officiating.

In keeping with her parents wishes cremation will follow the service.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 Friday and after 8:00 Saturday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
